Miles Briggs, Scottish Conservative & Unionist MSP for Lothian, is encouraging businesses across the area to consider entering a prestigious environment business awards competition. The VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards have been held annually since 1999 and recognise and showcase businesses in Scotland that have taken steps to improve or reduce their impact on the environment. Last year a number of Lothian businesses were successful in the awards, including Lothian Buses, Edinburgh Leisure and Changeworks.
Speaking today Miles said:
“The VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards are an excellent way of recognising and commending the good work of many businesses in reducing their impact on the environment and contributing to sustainable development.
“I hope many companies in Edinburgh and Lothian who are working hard to make their businesses even more environmentally friendly will enter the VIBES competition before the closing date for entries on 26th May.”
