Title: Lothian Buses, Policing Partner of the Year.
Motion Text:
That the Parliament congratulates Lothian Buses on it being named Policing Partner of the Year at the Scottish Police Excellence Awards in recognition of the success of the partnership that it established in 2015 with Police Scotland’s Edinburgh Division; notes that this partnership tackles incidents and issues on the city's transport network with the assistance of a dedicated transport liaison officer, which, it understands, has led to a large reduction in antisocial behaviour; commends its well-received and innovative school education programme, which delivers behavioural change communication workshops to high school pupils, and pays tribute to Lothian Buses' management and staff on what it sees as their tireless and continuing efforts every day in providing first-class bus services for residents and visitors
