Dear Resident,
I am writing to you about the Pavement Parking Ban which has recently come into force. Marlborough Street and Regent Street have been heavily impacted by these new changes, with many residents contacting me about their concerns relating to emergency vehicle access, delayed waste collections, and incidents of damage to their cars.
The City of Edinburgh Council is working to tackle these problems and have painted double yellow lines on the roads to ensure access to these streets. However, I am keen to hear the views of residents about whether they believe this is an effective and lasting solution to the problem. I understand that for residents that have accessibility requirements and day-time parking needs, this might introduce new obstacles.
As your local Councillor, I want to hear your thoughts. By filling out my survey overleaf, you can share your suggestions and any concerns you have relating to the Pavement Parking Ban. Your contributions will allow me to better represent the sentiments of residents whilst ensuring your voice is heard at Council.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I may be of assistance.
Kind regards,
Tim Jones
Councillor for Portobello and Craigmillar Ward
