Ruth Davidson MSP, leader of the Scottish Conservatives has been campaigning with Andrew in Fountainbridge and Craiglockhart. Together they are taking her message of No to a Second Independence Referendum to the streets. Ruth Davidson supports Andrew as a strong, local voice for the ward.
Lothians MSP Miles Briggs has also been out on the campaign trail with Andrew. Since being elected in 2016, Miles is already a cornerstone of the community, regularly raising local residents’ issues in the Scottish Parliament.
Miles said;
“It has been great working with Andrew on a range of local issues important to people in Craiglockhart & Fountainbridge. Andrew will provide Craiglockhart & Fountainbridge with a strong, effective voice on the Council if he is elected in May, and I look forward to cooperating with him closely as we both strive to make this area even better for local residents and businesses alike.”
Andrew has also been taking advice from well-known former local councillor George Hunter.
George stood down from the Council in 2007 after fifteen years, and is still well remembered for his dedication to Craiglockhart - and his Bowler hat!
Andrew said,
“If it were not for his knees George would still be pounding the streets, and I am very grateful for his support”.
