The UK Government has invested in Valneva, a Livingston biotech facility to bolster vaccine manufacturing capacity for the whole of the UK.
Lothian MSP Miles Briggs said, "This partnership between the UK government and Valneva SE is an important step forward in the Covid-19 national vaccination campaign and will be a significant boost to the economy." Miles continued, "I visited Valneva in August and hope this can create future opportunities and investment in West Lothian. The increased vaccine manufacturing capacity will mean more people being vaccinated for Covid-19 later in the year when the Valneva vaccine is ready."
