Edinburgh campaigner Gordon Murdie has been selected as the Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidate for the Leith Walk by-election which will take place on Thursday 10th September. Having campaigned on high-profile issues affecting Leith Walk residents, Gordon promises to be a strong voice for local people on the council.
Gordon is well-known throughout Edinburgh for his vocal campaigning on the statutory notices scandal, and against wasteful spending by the Labour/SNP administration. Commenting, Gordon said, “I am delighted to have been selected to stand in the by-election. As someone who has campaigned hard on issues that affect Leith Walk residents, I will be a strong voice for the area on the Council.”
